Cicada Restaurant and Lounge is the most magnificent venue to host your glorious day, a place where haute couture meets haute cuisine.

Voted "Top Decor" in the 2004 Zagat Survey, it truly is the "jewel" of the city. Situated in downtown Los Angeles' Lalique palace, in the famed Art Deco styled Oviatt building, Cicada is a place so fitting for creating your dream wedding day, holiday party, corporate event or romantic evening for two..


Originally built as a top-of-the-line haberdashery in 1928, it still retains much of the original design that the French designers and artisans of the time created. The restaurant can accommodate a ceremony, cocktail reception and dinner for up to 350 guests.

The spacious room features a mezzanine that overlooks the main floor, the mezzanine bar and lounge and a patio seating in the lobby in front. No where in the city is there a more spectacular setting.

he opulent room, with the giant old-growth oak columns that feature pairs of angels holding bells and gold-leaf ceilings, can compliment most any special design feature you have chosen to create a unique setting for your wedding day. We have featured events by many of the city's top event-planners and wedding coordinators and some of Los Angeles' most famed events have been held at Cicada.

Whether you are looking for a dinner reception that is a multi- course sit down extravaganza or one of our bountiful buffets, our award-winning culinary staff will fulfill your every wish. We specialize in the cuisine from Northern Italy, but are happy to tailor a menu to suit your desires and feature wines from our Wine Spectator Award-winning wine list and have a full bar. Our experience catering staff and on-site coordinator are here to make your day stress and worry-free. So whether you choose to have both your ceremony, reception and dinner here, the reception and dinner only or just a cocktail reception, Cicada looks forward to fulfilling your day of celebration.
